Yes,
one of the constants in brick-and-mortar retailing is being forced to
shift gears by inflation. The Dollar Store announced yesterday that
beginning very soon the retail selling price of many of their items will
run from $1.25 to $1.50.
The end of an era has arrived.

There are 2 sides to everything. Some of the stuff they sold wasn't worth $1. If you ever need a cheap set of headphones or wired earbuds it's the place to go.
