The
Dixie Fire burning in NorCal has now hit about 964,000 acres but is
also now about 94% contained so, barring any sudden issues, it may be
stopped before it hits 1,000,000 acres.
The Caldor fire is still going, and a new fire has erupted just outside of Red Bluff which may be troublesome.
But do not fear. Gavin Newsom is blaming it all on Donald Trump, so everything is under control.

It got real close to Lake Tahoe. That's one of my hang outs. Nevada side, of course.
Caldor fire is closer to Tahoe. It is still growing, but no where near as big. They also opened Hwy 50 a couple of days ago, though I think 88 is still closed.
