Gorillas have oral sex at Bronx zoo in front of children in NSFW viral video

Humans may be too conceited to believe they are the only ones who indulge in oral sex for pleasure, but a pair of frisky gorillas at the Bronx zoo had a go at it in front of shocked visitors.
The beastly lovers were filmed performing oral sex in front of shocked zoo-goers, and a clip of the NSFW scene is currently making the rounds on social media. Animal experts, however, explained that it's completely normal for primates to exhibit such behavior, the New York Post reported.
“I was shocked and had no idea that was a ‘natural’ act,” the person who filmed the viral clip told the Post on condition of anonymity. He was visiting the iconic New York City zoo with his family. “I was in the gorilla exhibit with my 4-year-old daughter and niece,” he said. “My wife had to stay out of the exhibit with my sleeping son, so I wanted to capture a lot of video. Then this magic happened.”
Footage obtained by the Post showed one of the simians servicing his partner as they were splayed out on the ground in front of tens of shocked onlookers, some of whom turned their children away from the scene. "Oh no! Oh my God!" one visitor exclaimed in disbelief, telling his child, "Don't look!" Children at the zoo shared an innocent giggle after seeing their parents covering their faces. Bronx Zoo officials are yet to comment on the incident.
That said, this is barely the first time gorillas have been observed engaging in sexual behavior at the Bronx venue. About seven years ago, a Redditor reportedly posted a snap of two of the facility's animals performing the so-called “69-position” in front of kids.
According to the BBC, great apes often indulge in fellatio and it is fairly common throughout the animal kingdom. There have been sightings of species ranging from cheetahs to bears and bats performing the act. Meanwhile, there are several species that have sex for pleasure. Bonobos are known to have notorious sex lives.
“Whereas the chimpanzee shows little variation in the sexual act, bonobos behave as if they have read the Kama Sutra — performing every position and variation one can imagine,” Steven D Pinkerton, a professor of psychiatry and behavioral medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, noted in the book 'Sexual Nature/Sexual Culture'.
According to primatologist Frans de Waal, co-author of 'Bonobo: The Forgotten Ape', the range of non-conceptive sex acts they engage in include genital-to-genital rubbing, oral sex, mutual masturbation, as well as what is colloquially known as French kissing. Furthermore, Bonobos don't discriminate the basis of sex -- both males and females practice homosexual and heterosexual sex -- and they are also the only species that have been known to have sex in the missionary position, aside from gorillas and humans.

EDITOR'S NOTE: One day when I worked in the primate section of the Houston Zoo, a group of high school students who were touring the zoo were obviously entertained by Bobby, one of the zoo's mandrills. Bobby was a habitual masturbator. Three or four students approached the mandrill exhibit while the rest of the class was viewing other nearby exhibits. Bobby was doing his usual handjob.
