EX-COP CLEARED IN BREONNA TAYLOR RAID SHOOTING

But justice wont be served until the fired officer is reinstated with back pay

by Bob Walsh

Former Louisville KY. police officer Brett Hankinson was fired immediately after the Breonna Taylor raid last year and was prosecuted on three counts of "wanton endangerment" for allegedly firing blindly thru glass doors and windows into Ms. Taylor's apartment.  Hankinson did not challenge the basic facts of the case but asserted that he feared that his fellow cops were being murdered inside the apartment.

The cops fired a total of 32 rounds in response to Ms. Taylor's boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, firing on them as they entered.  Walker asserts that the cops did not identify themselves on entering and he thought they were being attacked.  Walker was unhurt.  Ms. Taylor was shot to death by the cops as she sat on her bed.

Hankinson was the only officer charged for actions during the raid.  The jury was out a total of three hours and came back with NOT GUILTY on all counts.
