The East Bay Municipal Utilities District (East Bay MUD) board voted Tuesday to cap water use for households in most of Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
Lawn watering will be limited to one day per week.
Right
at the moment the household limits are 1,646 gallons per day. Average
use is 200 gallons per day. The district admits this use limit will
tighten over time.
I'm here to piss on your lawn. Do you have some beer or wine to help me do my job
If you
go over your limit the district intends to hire a bunch of homeless
alcoholics to come over to your house and piss on your lawn, thereby
killing it so you don't have to water it. (This paragraph is a joke.
Probably. Maybe.)
