Liz Truss, formerly the Foreign Minister, is now the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The Conservative party coalesced behind her after handing Boris Johnson his hat. I wish them well.

The new PM will have to travel to Balmoral to meet the Queen. That is the first time that has happened since pretty much forever. The rumor mill says the Queen can no longer stand without assistance. Looks like it might be King Horseface and Queen Rottweiler pretty soon. Damn shame.
I hope she gets things done or the British are going to be cold this winter.
