A TIDBIT OF HISTORY

October 1944

Man who smiled at his executioners.

Georges Blind was a fireman from Belfort, France and was arrested in October 1944 for Resisitance activities. He refused to speak so the Nazis made him undergo a mock execution , hoping his comrades would speak.

Taking a closer look, Georges Blind is seen smiling.

It didn't work. The Germans then deported him to a concetration camp (Blechhammer) where he was murdered in November 1944.

Someday your life will flash before your eyes. Do something worth watching.

Mr. Blind did just that. Can you imagine what the German soldiers thought as they looked down their sights and saw him smiling?
