But the mattress and furniture magnate is not the one profiting from the win as his Gallery Furniture customers with also benefit from the 71-year-old's payout.

The business has promoted its owner's gambling for years and offers consumers free furniture after a certain amount spent in the off chance that McIngvale's chosen teams win championships.

This year, now that his beloved Astros have won it all, any customer who spent $3,000 or more at the furniture store can get a refund on their purchases while keeping the items.

'When you purchase a Tempur-Pedic, Stearns & Foster or Sealy mattress sleep set priced at $3,000 or more, and if the Houston Astros win it all in the 2022 final championship series, your purchase is FREE!,' a promotion on Gallery Furniture's website read.

'Join us at any Gallery Furniture showroom TODAY make your qualifying mattress purchase for the chance to get it all FREE FREE FREE!'

The owner of the Houston-area Gallery Furniture, who threw the first pitch in Game 6, bet $3m early in the season on the Astros to win the World Series at Caesars at 10/1 and also placed $1m at WynnBet.

In July, he upped the ante by putting down four more bets, two worth $2m and the others $1m.

Caesars has taken the biggest hit from McIngvale's win, having to pay out $30m, according to Darren Rovell.

It is the largest-ever payout on a single wager in the history of US legal, regulated sports betting.

'What can we say? We just wrote the biggest check in sports betting history to Mattress Mack for $30,000,000. Would we do it all again? You bet,' Ken Fuchs, the COO of Caesars Digital, said.

'While Mack may have won this round on the field, we're proud of how we teamed up to support first responders and military veterans in Houston, Philly and Atlantic City. And to Mack — we tip our Astros cap — and remind him that he can now support his Texans and Rockets … both attractively priced at +100000 to win a championship. The Astros are also currently +550 to win next year's Fall Classic.'

McIngvale's name is well-known in the sports-gambling world, as the maverick, who has an estimated net worth of $300million, is known for placing insane bets.

In April, he went to Lake Charles, Louisiana, to gamble on Kansas winning the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament. He cashed in on $15m. Gambling is not legal in Texas.

'Mattress Mack' previously bet $9.5m on the Cincinnati Bengals to beat the Los Angeles Rams during Super Bowl LVI.

In 2014, he also saw his biggest loss to date, offering a promotion that essentially provided customers with free furniture if the Denver Broncos beat the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVII.

In total, it is believed that McIngvale has lost $15.43million on bets in his life, including on the University of Alabama, the New England Patriots, Tampa Bay and Tennessee Titans each winning the Super Bowl.

Minute Maid Field was built as Enron Field. When the A/B application came to the TABC office it was protested because the front door of the stadium was too close to the Catholic Church entrance. As the Lt. over licensing, I assisted in solving the dilemma by instructing the A/B applicant to designate another entrance as being the front door. The Church accepted this compromise and that my friends, is why you can always see the Dominican Sisters of Mary Immaculate Province, aka the Rally Nuns cheering from the same private box on any game day.
