Boeing unveils tweaked color scheme for new $3.9bn Air Force One that has darker blue paint on engine covers - after Trump's patriotic red, white and blue makeover was scrapped for being DANGEROUS

The USAF and Boeing have revealed a new color scheme for the new Air Force One Boeing VC-25B jets under construction featuring a modernized version of the classic design. 

The earlier design favored by Trump featured a deep red stripe down the middle of the plane and a dark blue underbelly, was rejected over fears it would cause overheating. 

The new design features similar colors to the current design but with a subtle difference in the shade of blue used around the nose and engines.
