Judge Stephen P McGlynn of the
U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Illinois issued a
ruling today that struck down the recently passed ban on about 170 evil
semi-automatic "assault weapons" within the formerly adequate state of
Illinois. As soon as it passed a number of pro-2A groups filed against
it and it was held up pending action.
Since
the Illinois legislature and governor are anti-gun psychopaths and
don't give a fuck as long as somebody else is paying the legal bills
will very likely attempt to appeal further up the food chain.
Fuck 'em.

I was wrong. The law has not been struck down though it almost certainly will be. A reading of the 29-page ruling, as opposed to somebody's synopsis, makes it clear that the enforcement of the law is put on hold pending final court action. The judge however did find that the plaintiffs will almost certainly prevail in the light of Bruen and so told Illinois to get their heads out of their butts.
