The Arch Diocese of the Roman Catholic Church in Oakland,
CA declared bankruptcy today. The cause, as you might expect, was a
buttload of lawsuits related to sexual abuse by priests and others.
The Arch Diocese in Sacramento, CA is seriously considering the same action.
Maybe they should have dealt with the issue 50 years ago and it wouldn't be beating them to death right now.
