SUING BECAUSE YOU ARE TRAUMATIZED BY DOING YOUR JOB ??

FILE - This aerial photo shows the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, N.M., on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021. A judge on Friday, Dec. 10, has decided that the assistant director who handed Alec Baldwin a prop gun that killed a cinematographer on a New Mexico film set must make himself available for an interview with state workplace safety regulators. Local news outlets reported that a district judge on Friday granted the state officials' request to issue a subpoena to Dave Halls, assistant director for the movie "Rust." (AP Photo/Jae C. Cherelyn Schaefer was the set medic on the set of Rust when Alec Baldwin shot and killed Halyna Hutchings.  Apparently Ms. Schaefer was so traumatized by having to do her job to try to prevent Ms. Hutchings from dying that she felt compelled to sue the prop master, Sarah Zachery, to help assuage her suffering.

Ms. Zachery had failed to respond to the court in the matter and Ms. Schaefer was awarded a default judgment of $1.15 million.

Several others, including Rust Productions and the set armorer, are still objects of the lawsuit.  Ms. Schaefer has several attorneys in the matter and I strongly suspect they are only too happy to assist her with suing everybody and their dogs.  As long as the dogs have money, or insurance.
