I DIDN'T KNOW THAT

By Bob Walsh

Alec Baldwin's attorney has called the decision of possibly charging his client with involuntary manslaughter 'unfortunate' and that he intends to fight the case in court after the actor shot Halyna Hutchins on the set of Rust

I was perusing a news story about the RUST movie set shooting when I stumbled across an interesting assertion.  It said that the movie is now completed and is looking for a buyer.

I am unsure if that means it is all "in the can" (all the camera work done) or EVERYTHING is done, including editing and other post-production.  I also admit I did not know that even small budge indie films were typically shot on spec (without a buyer lined up).  Of course it is distinctly possible the issues with the movie led to this particular set of circumstances.

The trial of Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, the set armorer, is still under way.  If she is found guilty of manslaughter she could get three years.  If she did all the crap her detractors are asserting she did, she deserves it.  I would like to think her daddy taught her better, but..........
