Ezra Mansoor, aged just six weeks, was mauled to death by the beloved family dog as he slept in his crib
Ezra Mansoor was only six weeks
old when he was killed by a long-term( 8-year) family pet husky. He
died yesterday after a week in the hospital.
The
parents, Mark and Chloe Mansoor, assert that the dog had been part of
their family for eight years and had never shown any aggression. It was
unclear from the news story I saw on this whether or not there were any
other children or animals in the house. It was also unclear if the dog
was an unneutered male. They are much more involved in such incidents
than are neutered males or females.
The baby was asleep in his crib when the attack took place.
The dog has been removed from the home by the county and placed in an animal shelter while the incident is under investigation.
