The good guys picked up another
senate seat today, snagging the seat in Pennsylvania that was up for
grabs. This means the Republicans picked up four seat, giving them 53
with two still unsettled and at least reasonably likely to go to the
Republicans.
If the
Republicans also manage to hold on to the house it will give Trump
control of both houses of congress. Assuming they get their collective
asses into gear they can actually accomplish a lot in two years, which
is probably all they will have easily. The party in power traditionally
loses seats in the off-year elections.
Make hay while the sun shines dudes. It won't shine forever.
