AT LEAST IT WASN'T A TRIVIAL MURDER

Hureleyon McLean, 72, of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, was shot to death on Thanksgiving at about 3:30 p.m.  When the cops showed up they found his body and talkative neighbors and well as a talkative Mrs. Rose McLean.  The deputies believe that McLean was shot to death for playing music too loud.  

The shooter, who has not been publicly named, has asserted self defense and is talking with authorities.  He is alleged to have told Rose that he would shoot her to if she did not turn down the music.  McLean was unarmed at the time of the shooting.  The shooter was detained at the time of the shooting for questioning but his current status is not clear.

The apartment complex where both the shooter and McLean lived is in a gated community.  The shooter was the downstairs neighbor of McLean.  McLean apparently went downstairs to talk to the shooter when he became aware that the shooter had been complaining about his music being too loud. That is when the shooting took place.
