Shocking footage has captured a massive brawl that erupted outside a popular Texas bar strip.

Chaos broke out on the street in front of several downtown San Antonio bars in the early hours on Sunday, according to KSAT.

Video shared on social media showed two men punching each other outside of Bar House on North Alamo Street as a massive crowd looked on.

As the melee moved into traffic on the street, other men and women joined in on the fight and started hitting and kicking each other.

Another video captured two men - one wearing white pants and a black tank top and the other shirtless - exchanging blows outside Bar House.

One witness, who goes by the name DA Dancer, recorded himself fleeing the violence while gun shots were being fired.

'Had to jump a barbed-wire gate tonight almost got shot, ripped my favorite joggers. Broke my big toe just because people can't go out and have fun without violence,' he said.

As footage of the brawl circulated online, many people expressed their concerns about the safety of the city.

'San Antonio too trash to go out at anymore,' one person said. 'Ghetto as hell.'

'This was the one bar I really wanted to go out to on Friday for my birthday… but nevermind, this is my sign to most definitely NOT do that,' said another.

A police report obtained by the local news outlet confirmed the shooting happened at around 2:12am near the intersection of North Alamo Street and 9th Street.

San Antonio police were responding to the fight when they were altered to reports of two men shooting each other in the area.

The police report said two people got into a physical altercation in front of Bar House and gunshots were later heard being fired at the back of the bar.

Joseph Reynaldo Olivarri was identified by police as the shooter and found alone in the back parking lot of Bar House.

Police said they found a firearm on the floorboard of the passenger side of his black Nissan Altima and shell casings near the car.

He was arrested and charged on counts of unlawful carry of a weapon with felony conviction, discharge of firearm in municipality - population over 100,000 and theft of a firearm.

Olivarri had previously been arrested for his involvement in a fatal shooting at a San Antonio sports bar in March.

'This incident took place after business hours and was on the public street. The incident is unrelated to Bar House San Antonio. We want to thank SAPD for responding promptly,' Bar House told KSAT.

'We have a large security presence within our property at all times. Our staff will continue to strive to the highest degree of maintaining the safest environment possible and will add additional security to reassure the public that North Alamo will remain a popular and safe nightlife district.'

Neighboring Bentley's Beer Garden addressed the brawl in a Facebook post.

'For those asking, Bentley's Beer Garden had no involvement in the incident that happened down the street. We appreciate our community and remain committed to providing a safe and fun atmosphere for everyone who visits,' the business said.

I haven't been to a bar in decades. People get drunk and act like idiots.

I like a good piano bar filled with Baby Boomers tapping their feet and placing a buck in the tip jar. The closest thing to a fight would be when "Bad, Bad, Leroy Brown" would play.
