ARMED WOMAN HOMEOWNER WINS, ARMED INTRUDER LOSES

Wielding a knife, the intruder forced his way inside but was shot three times by the woman after he had knocked her down

Mikel Steven Smith, 18, of Marbury, Alabama was terminally rehabilitated about 12:30 Friday morning. Mikel knocked on the door of a home in Autauga County. Since it was after midnight, the woman homeowner answered the knock while holding a .32 cal. handgun. Mikel told her his car had broken down, then with knife in hand he forced his way inside, knocking her down. Fearing for her safety and that of a 22-year-old niece staying with her, the woman popped Mikel three times.

Mikel staggered outside. When sheriff’s deputies arrived they found the turd croaked about 30 feet from the house. Drag marks in the yard indicated Mikel had an accomplice. Deputies soon arrested Bryan James Vance, 32, of Autauga County, and charged him with first-degree robbery. Vance was jailed on $15,000 bail.

Autauga County Chief Deputy Joe Sedinger said it was unlikely that the woman will face any charges. “The homeowner was protecting herself and her niece,” he told the Montgomery Advertiser.

So here is the result of Mikel’s caper: Armed woman homeowner wins, armed intruder loses … for good! My only problem with this shooting is that I do not hear any applause from the gun control crowd.
