Governor Jerry Brown and Governor-elect Gavin Newsom joined President Trump as he toured the areas devastated by California’s wildfires while Pennsylvania Governor Tom Wolf and Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto refused to join Trump during his visit to the Tree of Life synagogue
On Saturday President Trump visited areas devastated by the California wildfires. During his tour he was accompanied by Democratic Governor Jerry Brown and Democratic Governor-elect Gavin Newsome.
Both Democrats have been at odds with Trump almost from the moment he got elected President. But that did not stop them from greeting and joining the President on this somber occasion. Newsom also happens to be the ex-husband of Kimberly Guilfoyle, the girlfriend of Donald Trump Jr.
Brown and Newsom have shown themselves to be decent men. Accompanying a man they probably despised was a class act. Brown’s critics will say the only reason he met with Trump was to ensure California would obtain federal disaster funds. That’s a load of crap! Brown knows that official courtesies go along with the governor’s job.
Decency ruled the day in California during Trump’s visit to areas devastated by the wildfires. Compare that to what happened in Pennsylvania when President Trump visited the Tree of Life synagogue.
On October 30, President Trump and his wife visited the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh to pay their respect to the 11 worshippers who had been massacred there on October 27. Both Democratic Governor Tom Wolf and Pittsburgh’s Democratic Mayor Bill Peduto refused to greet and accompany the President and his wife to the synagogue. Instead Trump and Melania were subjected to insults by a mob that accused him of being anti-Semitic and a Nazi, and of being responsible for the massacre
Wolf and Peduto claimed they refused to meet with Trump at the request of members of the synagogue who said Trump should not have come at a time when funerals of the victims were being conducted. What a bunch of pure horseshit! To those left-wing Jews no time would have been appropriate for a Trump visit to the synagogue. And the funerals did not keep Jews from participating in the shameful demonstration that greeted Trump and Melania.
Unlike Brown and Newsom, the two Pennsylvania Democrats have no class. Wolf and Peduto’s refusal to meet with the President and the mob near the synagogue showed that indecency ruled the day in Pennsylvania during Trump’s visit to the Tree of Life synagogue.

It's really quite simple Howie. Trump has some control over federal disaster relief money. This was not the case in Pennsylvania after those killings.
That's all there is to it.
