As a going-away present to the people of the formerly great state of California Governor Jerry Brown issued as pardon to former Ca senator Rod Wright.
He became a bit forgetful about where he actually lived, resulting in him living outside of his district. He was given a sentence of 90 days in the slammer, 3 years probation, 1,500 hours of community service and barred from any future elected position in the state. He was also convicted of federal perjury charges.
After his conviction the state passed a new domicile law which clarifies details as to what an actual place of residence is. (It actually is a bit complicated.)
