FINALLY SOME GOOD FIRE NEWS

by Bob Walsh

The Camp Fire in Butte County, CA. will probably be fully contained, though not out, by the time you read this. It is not burning near any inhabited areas so it will probably not destroy any more than the 13.000 plus structures it already has burned down. The death toll is in the upper 80s. Since there are still several hundred missing it seems likely that the number will climb.

They are still searching for remains. There is real fear that the rain will bring localized flooding, mud slides and debris flows in the fire area. Refugees who are living in tents and shelters are no doubt miserable, but at least not dead.
