A former NYPD detective and his wife both pleaded guilty to masterminding a multimillion-dollar prostitution and gambling ring with the help of seven current police officers, officials said Wednesday.

Ludwig Paz, 51, who was assigned to the NYPD vice squad, copped to two counts of attempted enterprise corruption and one count of third-degree promoting prostitution, acting Queens District Attorney John Ryan said.

Paz is scheduled to be sentenced in June.

His wife, Arelis Peralta, pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted enterprise corruption and was sentenced to 364 days in jail.

“I want to commend the NYPD’s Internal Affairs Bureau and members of this office’s Organized Crime and Rackets and Integrity Bureaus for their hard work and dedication in closing down the defendants’ illegal businesses,” Ryan said in a statement after the pleas.

Paz and Peralta worked with seven active-duty police officers, including Vice detectives, to run eight brothels in Brooklyn, Queens and Nassau County, prosecutors charged.

One of the corrupt officers, Vice Detective Rene Samaniego, pleaded guilty earlier this month to passing the couple information on police procedures and scheduled raids to help them escape arrest while running the brothels.

EDITOR’S NOTE: The Daily Mail reports that in return for getting tipped off, Paz offered the other crooked cops discounted rates with his whores. Discounted rates? Shit, they should have gotten freebies!

What, NYPD doesn't allow it's cops to hold side jobs?
