INDEPENDENT TRUCKERS CATCH A BREAK IN CA

by Bob Walsh

Acting on Tuesday a federal judge temporarily blocked California's assault on the gig economy which would have screwed over about 70,000 independent truckers. U. S. District Court Judge Roger Benitez granted a TRO to the California Truckers Association while a permanent injunction is considered.

Freelance photographers and writers and drivers for Uber, Lyft, GrubHub and similar operations have similar lawsuits pending.
