On Friday a three judge panel of the Ninth Circuit issued an order to prevent the Trump administration from further enacting it's "wait in Mexico" policy for asylum seekers, and then very quickly suspended it's own ruling pending further action.
The three-judge panel panel directed the government to respond further in writing by COB Monday, and further directed the plaintiffs to respond by COB Tuesday.
So far, since the new policy has been implemented, about 60,000 asylum seekers have been returned to Mexico to await processing. During the same time this has happened illegal border crossings have dropped about 80%. The Trump administration is also attempting to require that asylum seekers must enter the U S legally. That requirement is also on hold from the Ninth Circuit.

Yes, the majority of the judges on the 9th are now Trump appointments. Slim majority, but still.......
