The Attorney General of the formerly great state of California, Xavier Becerra, announced yesterday that he is suing the dogshit out of Uber, Lyft and anybody else that might try to operate in the gig economy without being an actual employee.
Uber, Lyft and DoorDash are pushing an item on the November ballot that would shitcan AB5 and allow many people to maintain their status as independent contractors should they choose to.
Xavier Becerra is essentially a socialist who believes that all money and all labor belong to the government and that private citizens exist just to give the government something to do so they are not bored.

Good luck. Strippers should be exempted as they provide an essential service.
