Experts fear true US coronavirus death toll could be DOUBLE the official figures and up to 160,000 due to inconsistencies in reporting and ongoing testing shortages, as Trump champions reopenings

As of Sunday more than 1.3 million COVID-19 infections and 79,892 deaths have been confirmed in the US.
But experts say the current counts don't reflect the full devastation of the virus, in part because of dire delays and inconsistencies in reporting, ongoing testing shortages and the likelihood that thousands of people have avoided seeking treatment for life-threatening conditions for fear of coming in contact with the contagion.
Fears about an under-reported death toll come as many states expand efforts to ease lockdown restrictions that have crippled the US economy and left millions of Americans out of work.
President Donald Trump has championed the reopenings while many experts caution that they could be premature as the numbers of infections and deaths continue to rise in the majority of states.

No matter what President Trump does he will be criticized. I happen to think he is right on gradual openings. Galveston County sends out a daily recap of county wide cases. We are definitely over the hump.
If somebody is 80# overweight, has diabetis and COPD and is 85 years old, did they die from the Covid-19 but or did they die from being old, fat and sick?
I think we are over the hump at least in most of the country. I strongly suspect there will be a second wave. With luck it will be little more than a speed bump. I could be wrong.
