Black Lives Matter issues ominous warning: “Cities will be on fire” if Chauvin is not convicted of killing Floyd

“Cities will be on fire!”

This is precisely what many in law enforcement have been concerned about since George Floyd died of a drug overdose last May, a death that was blamed on Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin.

This, despite the fact that an autopsy showed Floyd suffered no trauma to his neck area and showed that he had a lethal doses of fentanyl and other drugs in his system, along with other comorbidities which contributed to his death.

That will not matter to Black Lives Matter and the opportunistic thugs inside Antifa. They have in fact told us just that.

This weekend, a prominent activist with BLM, Maya Echols threatened that “cities will be on fire” if Derek Chauvin is not convicted of killing Floyd, evidence be damned.

In a video that the gutless Echols since deleted, she said:

“If George Floyd’s murderer is not sentenced, just know that all hell is going to break loose. Don’t be surprised when buildings are on fire. Just saying.”

We’re fairly certain Echols wasn’t talking about the drug dealer who provided Floyd with the Fentanyl. Just saying.

Should this threat be taken seriously? Obviously. Black Lives Matter and Antifa engaged in a summer-long siege on American cities last year, and in some cases have continued to do so this year, even with Joe Biden occupying the White House.

That would seem to debunk the narrative of some on the left, including the media that these Neanderthals were somehow protesting against Donald Trump.

Echols is not only a BLM activist, Breitbart notes but is also apparently a “social influencer,” according to the Daily Wire.

That means she gets paid money for doing stupid crap on Instagram or TikTok, having signed a contract with IMG Worldwide, thereby giving this lady some type of legitimacy.

In other words, she doesn’t have a real job.

Most Americans vividly remember last summer, with cities such as Minneapolis, Seattle, Portland, New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. suffering through weeks if not months of nightly violence.

Billions of dollars of damage was caused by arson, vandalism, and other senseless acts of violence and a number of Americans were assaulted or killed. One would expect no less if Chauvin is acquitted.

In an opinion piece in Breitbart, John Nolte rightfully notes that a second round of grievance rioting by BLM and Antifa will likely far exceed what we saw last summer. It will get ugly, make no mistake about it.

Last year, the violence and mayhem, or as Nolte calls it “domestic terror” will likely occur in primarily, if not exclusively cities run by Democrats.

These are of course the same Democrats who have put into office light-on-crime district attorneys and who have in many cases done away with bail. So these “domestic terrorists” typically are back on the street before the ink is dry on their arrest paperwork.

Nolte points out that it is mostly blue cities which are plagued by riots, hate crimes, gun violence and every other manner of debauchery. Minneapolis, where Floyd suffered his overdose is one such city, and it has become even worse since the Floyd incident.

And what of excessive force complaints against police officers or allegations of racism? Yup, mostly in Democrat-run cities.

So what therefore is the solution? Well one might think that voters in these cities might take the advice often attributed to Albert Einstein, but really, who cares who said it?

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Voters keep on voting for Democrats, and yet their lot in life has not improved in many of these cities. Oh, New York City did it right for a while, electing Rudy Giuliani and the formerly tough-on-crime Michael Bloomberg as mayor.

The city’s crime rate plummeted.

They then regressed and put in criminal sympathizing, communist- loving Bill de Blasio as mayor, and not surprisingly the city has devolved into a criminal’s paradise and cops are leaving in droves.

Nolte rightly notes that people such as Echols are and have been destroying their own cities for years, while most red state voters who live in the suburbs and rural areas are living their life free for the most part from gun violence.

While many red voters, Nolte says are accused of being racists because we voted for Trump, however in the suburbs and rural America all races co-exist with very few problems.

So what happens if Chauvin is acquitted? The defense has yet to start its case, and the jurors need to find guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. Floyd’s autopsy results will be disclosed, and the coroner will have to testify.

Proving either 2^nd or 3^rd Degree Murder is a tough hill to climb, especially if his cause of death is shown to be from a cocktail of fentanyl and other drugs. Manslaughter? Perhaps. But that won’t satiate the mob. They want blood, and if they can’t get Chauvin’s, they’ll take it out on other people without concern for skin color or ethnicity.

During last year’s violence, it was black and minority-owned businesses who paid the price for the temper tantrum displayed by BLM and Antifa.

Once again, they will loot, burn, and destroy the very cities and neighborhoods where they live and which support the livelihoods of those they claim to represent, if Chauvin doesn’t get convicted.

Meantime, those of us who don’t live in those cities, as Nolte calls it “Rural MAGA Land—where our air and water and streets are safe and clean, and where people of all races and creeds live together in relative harmony”—we’ll just sit back and watch the show.

It will be Democrats going after other Democrats, sadly innocent Democrats.  

And we’ll just sit there, shake our heads, say a prayer for the innocent victims who are having their lives and their businesses ruined mostly by their neighbors but also by spoiled rich college kids who can’t get a job with their German Polka History degree and need to “belong” to something, even if it’s a criminal enterprise such as BLM or Antifa.
