What will probably really be the most significant mid-term election in living memory will happen in two weeks.
Currently
the Democrat-Socialist party enjoys a majority in the House of
Representatives of 220-212 with three vacant seats. I
think-believe-hope that, when the dust settles, there will be a 13-seat
Republican majority. I think there is no question whatsoever that the
Democrat-Socialists will lose their majority, the only real question is
by how much.
Currently
the senate is split 50-50. I believe that, when it is all over, the
Republicans will have a one seat majority, but a two or three seat
majority is not out of the question. (I admit this figure is squishy
and could have a lot of wishful thinking involved.)
It also seems likely that the Republicans will pick up a few governors that would have been unthinkable two years ago.
Decisions are made by those who show up. Vote early and often.

Hope you're right Bob. After the past couple of years...I would have thought the changes would be much more dramatic.
