On Wednesday the PA Supreme Court ruled that mail-in ballots
MUST be dated and the date must be "correct" or they can not be
counted. I am unsure what CORRECT means in this situation. I would
GUESS that means the date must be in the mail-in window as the date it
was actually mailed could be after the date the envelope was signed and
sealed. There could, however, but an issue with post marks being BEFORE
the date the envelope was signed. That would clearly be an issue.
I
admit this surprises me somewhat as courts are normally loath to mess
with this stuff. The fact of the matter is that real, legitimate voters
sometimes do dumb stuff with legit ballots.
