Judge Glenn Suddaby of the U. S. District Court in
Syracuse, N.Y. suspended many of the parts of the draconian new NY gun
restrictions on Monday.
Six
members of Gun Owners of America requested the action by the court,
asserting (correctly) that the new restrictions are unreasonable and
unconstitutional in light of the Bruen decision.
The
judge specifically objected to the Concealed Carry Improvement Act,
which kicked in September 1, compelling people to disclose the names of
everyone living in their home including the names and "handles" of all
their social media accounts. Judge Suddaby also said the state could
not reasonably prohibit the carry of concealed weapons in theaters,
bars, parks, airports and other genrally public places.
The
state will certainly appeal the case up the chain, at least if the
current governor does not get her ass handed to her tomorrow.

Judge Suddaby's action was in fact stayed by a higher court. For now.
