An attendee demonstrates the AtmosGear electric powered inline skates
The
Las Vega Electronics Show is up and running. One of the items on
display is a set of electric powered in-line skates by AtmosGear. The
$500 items are said to be good for 20 miles on a charge. The front man,
Mohamed Soliman, is pushing them as urban commute transport. I have my
doubts about the viability of this, at least in the U.S.. But I could
be wrong.
Also among the
neat toys is a hand-held digital temporary tattoo device. The standard
one is $279, the cheapie is $229. Ink cartridges for as many as 1,000
tattoos are $119. You pick your tattoo over the companies web site and
the device applies the cosmetic grade ink to your bod, or whatever else
for that matter. The ink is waterproof but will wash off with soap and
water. It comes from Prinker, a South Korean company.

We left Las Vegas yesterday. Attendees of CES had taken over the strip hotels and I couldn't get a seat at my favorite bar! 24 hour reservations were a must if you planned to eat in a nicer restaurant. Asians were the dominate persons in town for the Year of the Rabbit celebrations and CES. Earlier in the week the place wasn't a madhouse, and we did well gambling. Our departing Southwest Airlines 737-800 Max was completely full, and the ride home was a little uncomfortable.
I did make a new friend. "Mrs. Fix it" AKA, Katrin a Republican Candidate for Nevada Assembly. She is Naturalized U.S. Citizen who immigrated from Communist Bulgaria. She is running on a platform to euthanize all convicted pedophiles. (no kidding) (Mrsfixit.us) She is also an employee of the Bellagio and a good person to know in Vegas.
