The God-Emperor of the formerly great state of
California, Gavin (I Want To Be President SO BADLY) Newsom, has
clarified his idiotic pronouncement on how he intends to punish
Walgreens for following the law in 21 states, none of which are
California.
He has stated
that the state contract with Walgreens, which is worth about $54 million
a year and runs out on April 30, will not be renewed. This contract is
specifically for drugs for the California prison system. It is not
clear at this time what other pharma supplier will be able to step into
the breach until the federal lawsuit over the matter is settled. At
question is the drug Mifespristone, which is used to cause abortions.
The governors of 21 states have announced that they will prosecute
suppliers who dispense this drug in their states. Walgreens does not
want to fight 21 criminal legal actions and has announced that they will
not make this drug available in states where legal action could
result.
