The formerly great state of California is in for an interesting week. There is a whole series of warm storms coming in that MAY generate very heavy runoff from the snow pack, causing another round of flooding. There is right now a blizzard warning just north of Redding. There is reinforcement work still underway on the levees on the Cosumnes River near Sacramento which failed during the last round of flooding in January and February. The wind isn't as bad as the last storms but the ground is so saturated that some trees don't need much to push them over.
Yuck.
