Attorneys for Hunter Biden have fired off an angry letter to a congressional ethics body demanding a probe of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's repeated comments linking the president's son to 'human trafficking.'
The letter, released Monday by Biden lawyer Abbe Lowell, is part of an aggressive legal push as Hunter contends with a government investigation of his taxes finances amid a multi-pronged probe by House Republicans.
The pushback comes days after the Georgia Republican viewed 'jaw dropping' Special Activity Reports at the Treasury Department, then cut a video where she claimed the 'Biden crime family participated in human trafficking.'
The pressure also comes days after Greene was shut down by Republican colleagues after comments in a hearing where she said Democratic Rep. Eric Swalwell had sex with a Chinese spy and called Homeland Security Sec. Alejandro Mayorkas a 'liar' – a development Biden's team notes in the letter.
A lawyer for Hunter Biden wants the Office of Congressional Ethics to begin a probe of Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene over her attacks against Hunter Biden, including a statement where she said 'Biden crime family participated in human trafficking'
The letter cites Greene's 'continuous verbal attacks, defamatory statements, publication of personal photos and data, and promotion of conspiracy theories about and against Robert Hunter Biden.'
It encompasses a catch-all House Rule stating that all members shall behave in a matter that 'shall reflect creditably on the House.'
Lowell wrote the Office of Congressional Ethics, which can review outside complaints and forward them to the bipartisan House Ethics Committee, which reviews members' conduct and can issue reports recommending sanctions.
The letter says her attacks on Hunter Biden 'sound and read like school-yard insults rather than the work of a Member of Congress, and they fail to uphold the integrity and dignity expected of members of the House of Representatives,' then outlines a string of them.
The letter also points to an image Greene posted of Hunter driving his father's classic Corvette with his niece and her cousin, commenting on Truth Social 'Hunter was on crack wheeling & dealing with CCP ties and prostitutes with classified documents laying around in the garage.'

A separate letter seeks a probe of former Trump White House official Garett Ziegler over Special Activity reports it says he 'illegally' obtained
Hunter's team blasted 'unmoored verbal abuses and ad hominem attacks against Mr. Biden'
'In summary, the unmoored verbal abuses and ad hominem attacks against Mr. Biden are just a microcosm of Representative Greene’s numerous ethical violations and repeated lapses in ethical judgment, all of which warrant a review of her conduct,' writes Lowell.
The letter came on a day when Hunter's team also wrote the Treasury Department's IG claiming former Trump White House official Garrett Ziegler 'illegally obtained Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) from JP Morgan Chase Bank' relating to Hunter Biden.
The letter cites public statements that Ziegler obtained the reports by working with a bank employee, and includes a link to a DailyMail.com story based
on reports leaked to the MarcoPolo web site that reveals Hunter Biden
could face federal charges for allegedly transporting people across
state lines for prostitution purposes.
