The United States is poised to launch strikes in Iraq and Syria against targets that include Iranian personnel and facilities, according to senior U.S. officials, in response to the drone attack that killed three American soldiers. President Joe Biden said Tuesday he had made up his mind on how to respond to the strike in northeastern Jordan near the Syrian border that wounded more than 40. The U.S. blamed the drone attack on Iran-backed militants.
