The 10-year-old girl was life flighted to a hospital in critical condition
The dramatis personae in this messed-up situation are a
10-year old girl, the girl's 33-year old mother and the mother's 39-year
old boyfriend. It went down at an apartment complex in Spring, TX. No
names have yet been released.
It
seem that the boyfriend deliberately shot the mother and the girl got
caught in the middle. The girl got a serious stomach wound but seems
likely to survive. The mother died. The boyfriend then had the decency
to kill himself and save the state the cost of a trial. The Harris
County S.O. is investigating the incident.
