Lia Thomas is a biological male who has been winning a
LOT of women's swimming competitions in the U. S. He has applied to the
Court of Arbitration for Sports to ask them to reject a policy that
would prevent her from swimming as a woman in various elite level
women's races.
The
ruling issued today basically said that Thomas does not have standing to
appeal the policy created by World Aquatics, the swimming sports
international federation, because the policy does not yet apply to her.
She is not yet eligible to compete in World Aquatics competitions.
The
federation has proposed an OPEN category for races for men pretending
to be women, or for that matter for women pretending to be men.
Thomas' lawyer has yet to comment.
