NEW CHIEF FOR THE LAPD

By Bob Walsh

The eight-month search for the next Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) chief ended on Friday, Oct. 4, with Mayor Karen Bass announcing former Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell as the new chief.

The Los Angeles Police Department has as new top cop.  That agency tapped former L.A. County Sheriff Jim McDonald, who also headed the Long Beach P.D. once upon a time.

The old-time commie mayor, Karen Bass, has the final say-so on this procedure.  She seems to like McDonald.  He has been the Sheriff for ten years.  He was a cop with the LAPD for nearly 30 years.
