Lester C. Harvey
Lester C. Harvey, 58, or Phenix, VA., isn't the most lucky guy in the world. Or more correctly wasn't the most lucky guy in the world. He was part of a group of hunters in Lunenburg County VA. two weeks ago when a bear they had been after ran up a tree. One of the hunters in the group shot the bear. It fell out of the tree and landed on Harvey, who was standing about ten feet from the trunk of the tree.
Harvey died last Friday from his injuries.
Such cases are unusual but not unheard of. Hunters were seriously injured in Alaska and North Carolina in the last six years by falling bears.

I stopped hunting years ago because it was dangerous, cold, and a good portion of the folks in the forest were drunk with weapons. Now, Falling Bears?
