That is I guess a newish popular acronym. AWFL. Angry
White Female Liberal. That almost certainly is an accurate description
of the woman who was shot to death by ICE in Minneapolis yesterday. Her
name was Renee Good. She was 37 and had a son. And she died either
while defending her country from Nazis or while being a fanatic,
unhinged idiot.
Both points
of view abound. As do both sides of the "coldblooded murder" or
"justified self defense" question. Unfortunately (as is to be expected)
the people speaking out right now mostly have a vested income of the
final decision of that question. And most of them should be keeping
their mouths shut.
The same
isn't being said of the two people who were shot, but not killed, by
CBP in Portland. Both were known bad actors who were involved, among
other things, in the child sex trade. Both were known undocumented
Democrats. People who pimp out children do not have a lot of public
support. Some, but not a lot.
As
for me I will be happy to await the outcome of a competent
investigation. My GUESSTIMATE, in case you are interested, is that the
ICE agent in Minneapolis who got by the car hit probably should not have
been standing where he was (bad tactics) but he had every right to be
there and the driver should have stopped when ordered to do so. My
early opinion for what that might be worth to you, subject to revision
when more info becomes available.
