The Reverend Edmundo Paredes has been a fixture at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Oak Cliff, Texas for 27 years. It is not yet known if he has been molesting children that whole time. However, it will be hard to ask the 69-year old priest as he is on the run from authorities.
He was removed form his position about two months ago under suspicion of helping himself to about $60,000 in church funds.
The cops suspect he fled to his native Philippines and his hiding out there. The church has gone to the length of hiring a couple of private detectives to try to track him down.
I wonder if they are more pissed about the money or the child molestations?
