The
People's Republic of Sacramento is preparing to do some low-cost
housing to help out a very few homeless people. They are rehabbing an
older, flea-bag hotel to turn it into mini-apartments of about 250
square feet each.
It is
costing $445,000 PER UNIT to redo the Capitol Park Hotel for this
purpose. That is more than a 1,600 square foot detached home is going
for now in the area.
Our tax dollars at work.

California seems Hell bent on destroying itself. I just hope they remain solvent enough to keep our retirement benefits coming. Ya Bob, I KNOW they have a legal requirement to honor those commitments. But you can't squeeze blood out of a turnip.
