SEATTLE'S SOLUTION: HIRE A PIMP WHO IS AN EX-CON

Andrè Taylor , who set up nonprofit Not This Time after his brother Che Taylor was shot dead by Seattle cops in 2016, signed a $12,500 a month deal with the city on July 27 to work as its community liaison, according to the contract published by PubliCola last week.

Taylor said he was the man for the job because he can talk to 'gang members, pimps and prostitutes who won't sit down with anybody else'.

Mayor Jenny Durkan's office said the partnership with Taylor and his nonprofit Not This Time could 'help de-escalate the ongoing situation' by tapping into Taylor's 'lived experience'.

Taylor, who was convicted of seven prostitution-related counts in 2000 and whose life as a pimp was showcased in documentary 'American Pimp', has had a mixed relationship with the city.

In 2016, he vowed to 'go to war' with Seattle after his brother's shooting death. He then set up Not This Time which champions statewide police reforms and holds police accountable.

This year he emerged as an ally to Mayor Durkan publicly speaking out against the controversial CHOP zone before being exposed in a secret recording offering to negotiate a million-dollar package with the city on behalf of CHOP occupiers in exchange for them leaving the zone.

Al Capone started as a pimp and it worked out pretty well for him until he decided he didn't need to pay income taxes. Plus he died from syphilis of the brain.
