The
cops were initially called on Wednesday afternoon to a supposed felony
assault in connection with a neighborhood dispute in Superior Township.
When the cops showed up they started catching fire immediately leaving
one deputy injured.
A
crisis negotiation team tried to make contact with the shooter, but the
suspect never did respond. The suspect had no prior negative contact
with law enforcement.
When
the cops finally entered the house, several hours later, they found the
suspect dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The injured deputy has since been released from the hospital.
Don't you just love a happy ending?
I
have no idea how the person injured in the original incident is doing,
but it doesn't not say that he died so he is doing better than the guy
who shot him.
