Katie Quackenbush is a 26-year old aspiring shitkicker singer from the Lone Star State. She was sitting at the curb in her Porsche with a bud with the engine idling and the radio blasting in Nashville. She was approached by a local bum, Gerald Melton, 54, who complained about the load music and the fumes from her idling car. So, she grabbed her gat, got out of the Porsche, walked around the car and blasted Melton twice in the gut. She then drove away without calling for medical assistance or otherwise notifying authorities of the incident.
Melton is in the hospital with critical injuries.
Her lawyer says they were "warning shots" that inadvertently hit the man. (Stupid statement and full of liability.) Ms. Quackenbush was released on $25,000 bond. She has two priors for assault in Texas. My guess is that she is in a moderate amount of trouble.
