Miley Cyrus is now one of the victim's of the fire tearing thru the Malibu area in SoCal. Her mansion is now a heap of smoking rubble. Damn shame.
The Camp fire in Butte County in NorCal has now killed 42 people that they know of and destroyed over 7,000 structures, mostly homes and small businesses. Neither fire is close to being fully controlled. They are using ocean water to hit the fire in Malibu, the aircraft and doing a skim and scoop in the ocean and then hitting the fire. It gives them a very fast turn-around time. Things are getting seriously desperate at both ends of the state.
The most deadly fire on record up to now was the Griffith Park fire of 1933 which killed 33 people. There are still a couple of hundred people missing in the Camp Fire. Many bodies have been found in houses, or in cars that attempted to flee but did not make it. I am very much afraid that the new record will continue to rise, a thing devotedly NOT to be wished for but likely to happen in any case.

It looks like PG&E may have some responsibility.
Yes. Their system indicated a failure at the spot the fire is believed to have started when the fire is believed to have started. It could be a coincidence, or it could be a chicken and egg thing, but it does look bleak for PG&E, which means it looks bleak for PG&E rate payers as a new law makes US and not the share holders responsible for this shit. Thank you Jerry Brown, you asshole.
