Anti-Trumpers did not wait a New York minute to blast the President for cancelling a visit to the WW1 American cemetery in Belleau, France
President Trump and other world leaders were in France to celebrate the end of the war to end all wars. Trump was scheduled to visit the WW1 Aisne-Marne American cemetery in Belleau on Saturday to pay his respects to the nearly 2,000 US Marines who died while fighting in WW1 that are buried there.
Bad weather, rain and fog, grounded the presidential helicopter. Belleau is about a two-hour drive east of Paris.
The anti-Trumpers did not wait a New York minute to blast the President for cancelling the visit. They bellowed that when his helicopter was grounded, Trump should have gone to the cemetery by car.
Nicholas Soames, Winston Churchill’s grandson, tweeted:
“They died with their face to the foe and that pathetic inadequate @realDonaldTrump couldn’t even defy the weather to pay his respects to The Fallen #hesnotfittorepresenthisgreatcountry.”
Ouch! I think that was uncalled for. The Americans buried in Belleau are more likely to turn over in their graves because of what Soames tweeted than because of Trump’s failure to visit the cemetery.
On Sunday Trump visited the Suresnes American Cemetery near Paris. 1,541 Americans who died in WW1 and 24 unknown American soldiers who were killed in WW2 are buried there.
I think Trump is getting an undeserved bad rap in this instance.

With regard to your header...Trump gets an undeserved bad rap every time he opens his mouth...every time he does or says something.
Ain't no thang. Like with the little boy who cried wolf...the press corps, disenchanted political figures, socialists, and many other haters, are losing their credibility. We're all getting used to it.
