12-year-old is charged with killing his 10-year-old brother after shooting him in the chest

A 10-year-old boy lost his life on Saturday afternoon after being shot, in Texas.
Investigators say the boy's 12-year-old brother has been charged with murder in the killing which happened in the town of Conroe, near Houston.
The 10-year-old was shot in the chest. He was taken to the emergency room at Conroe Regional Medical Center, where he later died according to KHOU.
The incident happened in the Stidham Road area, in the southern portion of town at around 2pm on Saturday afternoon.
The motive for the shooting is unclear.
The 12-year-old sibling has been charged with murder and is being held at the Montgomery County Juvenile Detention Facility.
The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office extended their thoughts and prayers to the friends and family of the 10-year-old on Twitter.
KTRK-TV reported that the boys' family was shattered by the death and arrest.
The family didn’t want to comment, but called the episode an 'unspeakable tragedy.'

Had this happened in CA it is a pretty good bet somebody would be prosecuted for careless storage of the firearm.
