Democratic presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke said he was recently given documents showing that both he and his wife descended from people who owned slaves. He has documents to prove it.
EDITOR’S NOTE: Holy shit! This is just fucking awful. Poor Beto and Amy. But rather than punish all of us by having us pay reparations because their ancestors were slave owners, O’Rourke and his wife should both put on sackcloth for a whole year as an act of penance.

I thought he was originally portraying himself as a Mexican. Mexico was against slavery.
I think he should strip naked, soak his hair in gasoline, light his head on fire, and run down Pennsylvania Avenue singing the Star Spangled Banner. That would be a meaningful act of contrition. Plus he could sell tickets.
