Yesterday the Democrat National Committee send a very polite nastygram to the Iowa Democrat Committee strongly suggesting they get their excrement together with the now-four-day-old caucus vote tally.
Tom Perez, head of the Democrat-Socialist National Committee, called for a recanvas in Iowa. This is NOT a revote, but a hand audit of the worksheets and reporting paperwork from each of the 1,795 precincts. (There were even satellite caucuses in Paris, Glasgow and other places where ex-pat Iowans got together, most often at military bases and universities.)
This would include a hand count of each and every "presidential preference card" to ensure the cards were tallied correctly and the correct info was forwarded.
As I write this, about noon on Thursday, the original official count has STILL not been completed. Last I heard there were about 175,000 participants in the process. I guess working hard to make sure that Bernie didn't win complicated the process considerably.
